What is a Library of Things?

A “Library of Things” is a collection of items for loan that expands the boundaries of traditionally defined library materials. Our Library of Things was created to meet the growing needs of our community. Like our more traditional items, you get to try something new for free! All of our items have been purchased using the library’s materials budget and LSTA grants administered by the State Library.

Please stop in to check out our collections!

In our Library of Things you could check out...

Cake Pans & Cookie Cutters

Steam Kits *1 per family

Storytime To Go Kits *1 per family

Garden Tools *Waiver must be filled out

Car Code Scanners

Library of Things items are not searchable or requestable and each collection has its own loan rules. Loan rules are posted with the collection.

STATE PARK LIBRARY PASS

Thanks to the Nevada State Parks Service, the Boulder City Library has TWO State Park Passes to check out.

The Nevada State Parks Library Park Pass is valid for entry at any of Nevada's 28 State Parks.

Entry for 1 passenger vehicle with a capacity of 8 people or less.

Not valid for any other fees.

The Pass checks out for 1 week and is not renewable or requestable.

The Pass must be returned inside the Boulder City Library. Please do not return it to any other library.

If we have a pass available, there will be an exchange card in a holder by the Youth Magazines and our GPS units. Just bring it on over to Circulation to exchange for a pass. Otherwise, please call or stop in with your library card to be put on the holds list.
